Marie Moutier-Bitan

Marie Moutier-Bitan holds a doctorate in contemporary history and specializes in the Holocaust in the occupied Soviet Union. Her thesis focused on the start of the Holocaust in Eastern Galicia (June-July 1941), published in 2023 (Le Pacte antisémite, Passés composés). After a post-doctorate with the Visual History of the Holocaust project and a fellowship from the Claims Conference Saul Kagan Fellowship in Shoah Advanced Studies, she holds the Chaire d’Excellence “Holocaust and Genocide Studies” at the University of Caen (France).
