Rasmus Greiner is senior researcher in film studies at University of Bremen. Currently he leads a three-year DFG-funded research project on „German Comedy after the Third Reich“. He is founder and general editor of the journal “Research in Film and History” (www.film-history.org) and editor of the journal “Nach dem Film” (www.nachdemfilm.de). He received his doctoral degree from the Philipps University of Marburg with a thesis on asymmetrical wars in feature films since the late 1990s (Die neuen Kriege im Film, Marburg 2012). His areas of research comprise the audio-visual production of history, global film culture, war movies, genre studies, and film aesthetics.
