Márton Árva

Márton Árva is Associate Professor at the Department of Hispanic Studies of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. His main fields of research include Latin American cinemas, film theories of embodied spectatorship, postcolonial theory, and decolonial thinking. He has contributed, among others, to The Routledge Handbook to CoFuturisms, Trasvases entre la literatura y el cine, Tecmerin. Journal of Audiovisual Essays, Cinémas d’Amérique latine, Revista Montajes, Apertúra and Metropolis. His edited volume, Kino Latino – Latin-amerikai filmrendezőportrék [Kino Latino – Latin American Filmmakers] was published in 2020. He is a regular contributor of the Hungarian film magazine Filmvilág since 2011.
