Jessica Stites Mor

Jessica Stites Mor received her PhD in Latin American history at Yale University. She has been a visiting fellow at the Instituto Ravignani of the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a visiting professor at Leibniz Universität in Hanover, Germany. She currently teaches in the history department at University of British Columbia, Okanagan. She served as the editor-in-chief of the Canadian Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Studies from 2015 to 2024. She is author of Transition Cinema: Political Filmmaking and the Argentine Left since 1968 (2012) and South-South Solidarity and the Latin American Left (2022, Spanish edition 2025). She has also published three edited volumes, El Pasado que miramos (The Past We View) with Claudia Feld (2009), Human Rights and Transnational Solidarity in Cold War Latin America (2013), and The Art of Solidarity with art historian Maria del Carmen Suescun Pozas (2018). She is co-founder of the International Solidarity Research and Action Network (ISARN).
