Tatiana Astafeva

Tatiana Astafeva is a research fellow at the University of Bremen in the DFG-funded research project “German Film Comedy after the ‘Third Reich’” (2021–2024). Her experience also entails working for the BMBF-funded research project “Audiovisual Histospheres” (2019–2020). She is a PhD candidate at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and received a scholarship from ZeM – Brandenburg Center for Media Studies (2016–2019). Prior to her PhD, she studied history and philosophy at the National Research University – Higher School of Economics in Moscow. Research interests: GDR past in film, post-communist nostalgia, film genre, film aesthetics, historical experience.
