Glib Vysheslavsky

Glib Vysheslavsky is an art historian (PhD), Associate Researcher at the Sorbonne Université, Eur’ORBEM/CNRS, Researcher at the Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. He was a founder and chief editor of Terra Incognita, the first Ukrainian magazine on issues of contemporary art theory and practice. In 2014, he received his PhD in Art Studies from Modern Art Reserch Institute with a dissertation “’Nova Khvyia’ (‘New Wave’) in the visual arts of Ukraine in the 1980s — the early 1990s (social and cultural aspect).“ His research interests include questions of the theory and practice of contemporary art, the history of Ukrainian art of the 20th century, as well as cross-cultural questions and the culture of migrants, ecology. He continues his work as a researcher, curator of exhibitions, and artist.
