Anne Barnert

Anne Barnert is a cultural and film researcher. Her recent research interests include film and archive, memory and commemoration as well as films produced in the German Democratic Republic (GDR and DEFA films). She received her doctorate from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main with her dissertation project Die Antifaschismus-Thematik der DEFA (2008). Her further publications include i.a. Filme für die Zukunft. Die Staatliche Filmdokumentation am Filmarchiv der DDR (2015).
