Bernhard Gross is a professor for Film Studies at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität, Jena, Germany.
Contemporary research projects: Theories of the historicity of film, TV and media, theories of seriality and the staging of the everyday, aesthetical theory, Italian and German cinema.
